My long life gave me the opportunity to reach back to my childhood in Germany, my nearly fifty years in Israel as a farmer on my own farm and as a soldier in the many wars Israel fought during those years.

My poems published in this book were written mostly during the four years of my student time at Maharishi University of
Management. My favorite courses were poetry directed by Nynke Passi, a wonderful professor who inspired the whole class, made us all fall in love with her, and I was able to express my inner Self in the poems I wrote. A number of them including Salute to Holland were meant especially as appreciation for Nynke.

When I started to practice Transcendental Meditation, it changed my life completely and brought me here to Fairfield Iowa in the USA. Here I am living with my family and many friends a wonderful quiet life with a strict routine of meditation and activity, which I enjoy. So time flies by and I am already ninety one years old, but feel most of the time much younger.The poems were all buried in my computer for several years until my friend said that they were good and inspired me to publish them. I started to believe him and hope that you, the reader will also find them well written.
