There is rising acceptance of the validity of the field effect (1% effect), said lead author Ken Cavanaugh. A study in 2006 showed reduced violent crime, and 3 more studies on the effects of the IAA are expected soon.

Vedic Recitation Produces Higher Brain Coherence Than Transcendental Meditation

A new EEG study has shown that listening to Vedic pandits reciting, produces higher brain wave coherence, than doing Transcendental Meditation. But this only occurred in practitioners of the TM-Sidhi Program, not in TM meditators. The Sidhas showed higher alpha1 coherence (pure consciousness) and higher theta2 coherence (internal mental processes).
